Golu Devata is worshipped by devotees from far flung areas. Pilgrims go for thre or nine days puja and dedicate their offering to lord Golu Devata. Golu Devata is also known as Goreel Devata in the Jagaar area. Generally Golu Devata is worshipped by offering Ghee, Butter, Milk, Card, Halwa, Puri, Pakauri etc.

By Air: Flights are available to Pantnagar airport from IGI international airport to reach Almora. Pantnagar airport is about 124km away from the main temple. From there people can hire Taxis to reach Chitai temple.
By Rail: The nearest railway station to pursue to reach the Chitai Temple is Kathgodam Railway station which is 94km away from the main temple. Kathgodam is connected to many major cities like Kolkata, Delhi.
By Road: The temple is located around 8 km away from Almora on Jageshwar Dham Road which is well-connected with roads and one can easily hire private cars or cab to reach the temple by road.
